Competency - Apply Oxygen Resuscitation/Oxygen Therapy (VBP433)

The course is suitable to people of all levels. It is focused on providing participants with training in the recognition of certain illnesses and injuries that may benefit from oxygen first aid, and in techniques for the provision of oxygen to both breathing and non-breathing victims using an appropriate oxygen delivery system. The four hour program consists of one unit of competency Apply Oxygen Resuscitation/Oxygen Therapy-VBP433

Course Duration: Up to 4 hours

Entry Requirements: Participants must be 14 years or older, and also must have completed the Course in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation or hold an equivalent and current CPR certificate

Participants must have basic English-speaking skills and reading skills unless training materials are provided in the appropriate non-English language.They must also have the strength and agility to manage CPR and other emergency situations.

Assessment: Progressive assessment of the competencies will be conducted throughout the course using practical exercises and tasks with a multiple choice theory test at the end.

Award: After the competent completion of all of the required skills, you will receive a Statement of Attainment from DAN when the registration procedures have been completed. The program is accredited by State and National government recognition authorities under National Training Recognition Scheme.
